SIKLES: The Blissful and Magical !!

Second blog featuring Nepal:

SIKLES: A scenic village dominated by Gurung inhabitants in the lap of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna III, is one of the most iconic and scenic getaway for a short vacation. Stationed amidst the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), the village is home for visually stunning landscapes, the artsy land terrains and integrated housing settlements. The warm hospitality and cultural reflections of the Sikles dwellers, the rich cuisine, and the homeland of famous conservationist late Dr. Chandra Gurung (frames the history of this place.
Sikles in recent time is a famous hub for the new Kahphuche glacier lake trekking route. Often referred to as ‘Virgin Ice Lake’, the lake is about 8 hours walk from Sikles and is the lowest glacier lake in Nepal. We couldn’t make it to the lake during our short visit to Sikles, but it has definitely gotten into the bucket list.

To get here:
You could either hike or take a 4 wheeler drive from Pokhara to get here. Around 5 hours of bumpy off-road from Pokhara leads you to this visually stunning and panoramic village.

Enjoy Sikles and relate with the pictures:
