Beautiful West Nepal: SYANGJA

Welcome to the new post:)
Syangja Blog:

The adventure starts off from Pokhara as you head your trip towards further west. The pitch dark smooth and curvy roads in between the mountains will keep you wondering all through. 40 kilometers of scenic drive from Pokhara leads you to beautiful Syangja.  Syanga, a district in Gandaki province, hosts iconic splendors for tourists: historic places like Nuwakot, (the then fort of Kulamanandan Shah), waterfalls and rivers (Kali Gandaki, Aadhi Khola), the first ever declared tourist village (Sirubari), hiking routes to Dahare Deurali (boarder with Parbat and highest mountain in the entire district), Swarek (the new destination for Paragliding lovers), to name few. As mentioned by the locals, the best time to visit would be around April-May when the Rhododendron makes the entire mountains go Red!

Though there are no hotels/restaurants, the places like Darau and Sirubaru offers home stay facilities, presenting close peek into Gurung culture and livelihood. The stone house, home made wines, organic food and mountains as an ambience, all in all, this place has lot to offer.
